ALEEYA

Hi my name is Nor Aleeya Maisarah Binti Nor Yazid. You can call me Aleeya. I am currently studying for my diploma in business management at KPTM Bangi. I am 18 years old and the youngest in my family. I have two older brothers and a sister. My dad is a businessman and my mum is a full-time housewife. What I can tell you about myself is that I was born on May 24th, 2003 at Poliklinik Kotaraya Taman Melawati. I just moved to Semenyih last year because my dad has been wanting to live here. He said that in Semenyih they have beautiful neighbourhoods and quiet environments. Not gonna lie but I love it here. Moreover, my hobby is watching movies because I found them very comforting and making me happy. I also have a cat named Ciko and he is a domestic shorthair breed. Other than that, my biggest achievement was probably my SPM result because I thought I did badly in the examination but I didn't. I was happy with the result despite not getting all A's because I know that I had already done my best and all of my hard work for over two years didn't go to waste. Besides that, I also participate in a competition called Money And Me in 2019. I and my team called Magnificient Money Maker won first place in the competition after beating the representative teams from more than 10 schools in Selangor. Not only we won first place, but we also got a Samsung smartphone, Sony Mp3, and also a certificate for being a representative for our school as the prizes. Lastly, the challenges I faced is when we, all of the students had to do the online learning at home. It was challenging to me because I am not good with keeping my concentration on one thing and also the internet connection was bad sometimes. So, I think that's all from me. Thank you.

BOOK REVIEW

FAMOUS PERSON OF MINE

BY NOR ALEEYA MAISARAH SEP. 02, 2021

Taylor Alison Swift was born on December 13, 1989, in West Reading, Pennsylvania, United States. She is the first child of Andrea Swift and Scott Kingsley Swift's marriage. When Taylor was 14 she moved to Nashville with her family to pursue a career in music. She then released a self-titled debut album that was full of promise and which set her on road to stardom when she was 16. According to Miss Swift, most of her songs were written based on her experiences in life that happened before. After gaining a big success for her album ‘Fearless’, she then launched her first tour on April 23, 2009, with a sold-out concert. ‘The Fearless Tour’ has been grossed $63,705,590 and played to a total of 1,138,977 fans across the world.

There is no doubt when we hear her name, we all going to be amazed by how powerful this woman is. A young and talented woman that created her achievements despite getting hated by other people. She really shows how to be independent and never give up on your dreams. As a person that grew up listening to her songs and stories, I really look up to her and idolize her until today.

Not to become a singer or a public figure, but to be a person that can make the world become a better place in the future. The speech that she delivered during her winning for Album of the Year on the 58th Grammy Awards made me realize that if you really put your mind to something, you can succeed. The speech goes "As the first woman to win album of the year twice, I want to say to all the young women out there, there are going to be people along the way who will try to undercut your success or take credit for your accomplishments or your fame,".She said, "But if you just focus on the work, and you don't let those people sidetrack you, someday when you get where you are going, you will look around and you will know that it was you and the people who love you that put you there and that will be the greatest feeling in the world". One of the biggest Miss Swift’s achievements that I’m going to talk about is when she became the only woman that ever won Album of the Year at the Grammy Awards three times which are in 2010, 2016, and 2020. If we wanted to talk about Miss Swift's achievements it will be a long article, but the conclusion is, she is a living legend.

Covid-19 World

Coronavirus disease which is the full name for covid-19 doesn't hit Malaysia only but the whole world. It is a sudden outbreak that shock the world and stop people from doing their daily routine activities. From what I've learned not all are glitters, but not all are gloomy. Like me, at first, I was happy because I don't need to go to school, I thought it was a short and temporary outbreak, but after days pass by I started to feel upset because I miss my friends and my teachers. Everything was new to me from doing online school to doing co-curricular activities online but it taught me somehow to be good at using the technology and the internet. Now I know how to do my assignments and use the Microsoft apps well.

Besides that, my relationship with my family has gotten much stronger than before. I used to be a very quiet person but now I am comfortable enough to tell my parents about my concern and problems. They help me get through my hardships and be there for me whenever I need them. Not going to lie, these past two years have been very hard for my family because of financial problems. My dad, work as a businessman in the construction field, so because of this pandemic, all of his projects got postponed. So, last year we started to try a new thing which is selling fruits from home. Doing some deliveries from door to door whenever someone ordered. Then something happened when my dad and his friend got scammed by this person that supposed to send the fruits stocks to us. When I heard about that incident happened I was so mad but my dad said it's okay because it's part of learning in business. Then after about three months, we stop selling fruits because the fruits are not seasoned. From that journey, I've learned that earning money is not easy, so I have to be grateful for the thing I have right now such as a home to live in a stable internet connection and a dependable family.

Lastly, my opinion on this topic which is "not all are glitters, but not all are gloomy" is that everything happened for a reason. Either a bad thing or a good thing there will always be positive morals that we learn. I know some people lost their loved ones during this pandemic or even their job but I bet we all learn something from it. For example, maybe people that lost their job finally realize and learned that they have much more talents than they ever know during this pandemic and quarantine such as from working as an engineer to find out they also can cook or even become a chef one day. After that, to the people that maybe lost their loved ones due to this pandemic, maybe finally learned that they need to always cherish and be grateful for the time that they have with someone and never take it for granted. Maybe they are not here physically but the memories that you made with them will always be there in your heart and mind. It might gonna be hard at first but it will be alright as time pass by because time heals everything.

TO FUTURE ME

Hi future self, how are you? I hope you're doing great and awesome. I am wondering if we ever achieved all the things that we dreamt of when we were teenagers. Like travelling around the world, getting the job that we wanted or even bought our dream car. I know a lot going to change in the next 10 or 15 years when you read this, but I wish you never forget where you come from. I wanted you to always be thankful and grateful to the people that have been helping you to get where you are right now. Always remember to pray five times a day and do good deeds because life is too short and we never know when we gonna die. I want you to be truly happy and be proud of the life you live. I hope you stopped worrying about what other people think about you and finally learned to love yourself no matter how you look and sound. I want you to always keep your head up even though we are struggling about something. Never forget about our family because family sticks together, and I wish we can start repaying all the things that our parents have sacrificed for us before such as buy them something that they dream to have or take them on vacation. I want you to always be yourself and never let someone else or something change you. Lastly, always believe in your dreams and it is fine if something that we dream of never happens but I want you to keep moving forward.
